Holiday News & Events from Imperial Hotel, Restaurant & Saloon!
We have continued operating in one way or another for the last 19 months, but our newsletter has been offline for a while because so many of our events had to be suspended. The good news is that we’re still here and happy once again to bring you news of what’s happening at the Imperial Hotel and in Amador County. There’s lots to entice you to visit right now including some great fall color (and water in the creek!), Winemaker’s Dinners, a special Christmas Carol Package and other seasonal events ….. and our bar is open! And we have Gift Certificates for your holiday gift list (no supply chain problems here!)
The Sutter Creek WineFest is returning this year on Saturday, November 13th. 20 local wines, gourmet dessert bites, live painters, art cars, dancers, and music throughout town. WineFest proceeds go directly to support: art classes in elementary schools, free concerts in local parks, and scholarships for rural kids studying the arts in college.
We are gearing up to start offering Winemaker’s Dinners once again, and we are delighted to join with our Amador City neighbor, Holgate Hill, for the first one on Friday, December 3rd. Rob and Cassidy Holgate produce small lot affordable wines grown in the Sierra Foothills. We’ll be pouring their Chardonnay, Rose, GSM, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for our 5-course dinner.

The full menu is available here, but don’t wait to sign up, especially if you want to take advantage of the rooms available for the Winemaker’s Room and Dinner Package: dinner for two and stay the night in our hotel for $335+tax. Stay a second night for just $125 additional. Dinner only: $95/person.
On January 28, 2022, we will welcome back DiStasio Vineyards for a Winemaker’s Dinner featuring their expanding offering of Italian varietals grown on their designated historic vineyard. The Winemaker’s Room and Dinner Package will be available for this weekend also.
More wine events will be coming in the new year, including a wine blending class and dinner partnered with another Amador City neighbor, Wine Tree Farm.
IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE…OH, DEAR!
The holidays are upon us! Not to be missed: Christmas at the Castle at Preston Castle in Ione on December 11th https://prestoncastle.org/christmas-at-the-castle/ and Charles Dickens’ A Chistmas Carol at Baker Street West in Jackson, http://bakerstreetwest.com.
We have a limited number of special Room/Dinner/Christmas Carol Packages for Saturday December 4th and Friday, December 10th, including a room for the night, dinner for 2 with wine and 2 tickets to the performance for $285 plus tax.
Why not plan a weekend with a Winemaker’s Dinner and Christmas Carol Package on December 3rd and 4th, or a Christmas Carol Package and Christmas at the Castle on December 10th and 11th. It would make a great Christmas gift!
Skip the big box Black Friday crowds and the Cyber Monday impersonal clicking and enjoy some face time with our unique Amador City merchants on Plaid Friday, then end the day with cocktails and dinner at the Imperial.
And don’t forget that a gift certificate for the Imperial Hotel makes a great last minute gift. We can mail a card directly to the recipient or email you a card to print out and give personally. Just call or email us and we’ll get it done within 24 hours.
We will be closed on Thanksgiving and hope that you, too, will have an enjoyable dinner with friends and family — stay healthy and hope to see you soon,
Mary Ann McCamant and all of us at the Imperial Hotel
